We have chosen to produce a T-I-E performance for teenagers at KS4 level.
As a group, we have done research on our target audience and found out what they would be learning in P.S.H.E, as the issues we want to cover mostly fit into this one subject.
Physical, Social, Heath and Economic Education:
According to the education.gov website, KS4 students are to learn these key units:
Bullying
Careers
Gang culture
Sex education
Relationships
Healthy life style
- Characteristics of positive relationships, and awareness of exploitation in relationships and of statutory and voluntary organisations that support relationships in crisis
- The benefits and risks of health and lifestyle choices, including choices relating to sexual activity and substance use and misuse, and the short and long-term consequences for the health and mental and emotional wellbeing of individuals, families and communities
This shows that what we want our performance to be about does link into the KS4 P.S.H.E curriculum, as our piece deals with the issues of pressure, relationships and health.
